So, EXO lovers are constantly worrying about their beloved nine-boy Kpop band that has been producing hits. So how many EXO members are left in 2022? 

EXO still has 9 members. Although when the group began its musical journey, it had 12 members. Later three of the twelve members decided to leave the group, making it a nine-boy-band in 2014. From then till 2022, EXO is a group of 9 Kpop singers.

The EXO is becoming more famous in 2022. It even surpassed BTS this year regarding being more prosperous and more recognized. EXO’s current members are Kai, Suho, D.O, Xiumin, Lay, Chen and Sehun. 

There are two sub-groups of the band. EXO-CBX was first developed in 2016: by Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin. The second sub-unit of EXO began its journey in 2019, known as EXO-SC. This sub-unit includes two singers of the band, Chanyeol, and Sehun.

The group is continuing to release songs that become top charting music. It releases group, sub-group, and solo hits, increasing their fame with the passing time and bringing them national and international awards. 

Who Were Ex EXO Members?

EXO was not always a group of 9 boys. When it first debuted, it consisted of 12 boys. 3 members of the twelve later decided to leave the group after working with SM Entertainment for two years in 2014. 

The ex EXO members were Tao, Luhan and Kris. It was a 12-boy-band, but later it too had two sub-units. One unit was EXO-K, which used to focus on creating content for South Korea, and another, EXO-M, concentrated on producing content for China. 

The sub-unit, EXO-K, had Kpop idols Kai, Suho, Baekhyun, D.O, and Chanyeol. EXO-M had Chen, Kris, Xiumin, Tao, Lay and Luhan EXO members.

Since the three twelve members left the group, EXO has been promoting itself as a 9-boy-member band. Fortunately, until now, the band didn’t ever get broken again.

EXO is another Korean music band that successfully earned fame with their debut album Mama. Shortly after releasing the first album, they released another one, XOXO, which became one of their biggest hits. EXO started its journey on the road to Kpop with 12 members but reached its peak of success with 9.
