Barbara Rollins Named Deputy Director of National Council on Problem Gambling
Washington, DC – The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) is pleased to announce that Barbara Rollins has been promoted to Deputy Director, effective immediately. In her new role, Rollins will oversee business operations. In addition to her new responsibilities, Rollins will continue to act as the director of development as well as oversee communications and assist with governance.?
Rollins has served as the Deputy Director for Advancement with NCPG for the past eleven years, creating and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the organization. Under her leadership revenue has grown significantly, including institutional and individual giving and membership, while also creating and growing significant corporate partnerships. In 2021, Rollins spearheaded NCPG’s partnership with the National Football League Foundation (NFLF) resulting in the largest grant in the organization’s 50-year history.??
“Barbara has been instrumental in our long-term success over many years,” said Keith Whyte, Executive Director of NCPG. “She has particularly distinguished himself with her innovative and imaginative leadership and her ability to execute short and long-term goals that align with our mission and vision. Now is the perfect time to elevate her position within the organization and increase the impact we can make for those affected by problem gambling. Rollins previously worked in arts management, including as Managing Director at the Contemporary American Theater Festival in Shepherdstown, WV; as well as other positions with Imagination Stage and the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, MD. Earlier in her career, she was a professional AEA stage manager at regional theatres, including ten years with Arena Stage in Washington, DC and other theatres in Utah, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maine and New Hampshire.???
Rollins holds an MA in Arts Administration from Goucher College, a BA in Theatre from Dartmouth College and the Certified Fund Raising Executive professional credential. She is a past president of the Dartmouth Club of Washington, DC, which received the Dartmouth Metro Club of the Year in 2014. She? received the Club President of the Year Award in 2015 and also served on Dartmouth’s Alumni Council.?
