Washington, DC \u2013 <\/span><\/b>The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) is pleased to announce <\/span>that Jaime<\/span> Costello, MPH <\/span>has joined the organization as<\/span> Director of Programs. Costello<\/span> is<\/span> an experienced addiction and public health professional with nearly fifteen years of experience working in the problem gambling field.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The addition of the Director of Programs position aligns with NCPG\u2019s strategic capacity-building initiatives as outlined in the $6.2M grant from the National Football League Foundation (NFLF), which aims to bolster problem gambling and responsible gambling awareness, services, and advocacy nationwide. In this role Costello will oversee planning, implementation, and evaluation of NCPG programs; support strategic planning efforts through consistent monitoring; and serve as a spokesperson for national problem gambling efforts.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cJaime has had an exceptional career in problem gambling prevention and education. Her\u00a0public health centric mindset and organizational leadership skills make her ideally qualified for this position,\u201d<\/span> said Keith Whyte, NCPG Executive Director. <\/span>\u201cWe look forward to the growth of NCPG programs under Jaime\u2019s unique combination of energy, thought leadership and experience.”<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Costello joins NCPG after serving as Bureau Director of Prevention and Training at the New York Council on Problem Gambling. There she played an integral role in the development and growth of the Problem Gambling Resource Centers ensuring that professionals, individuals, families and communities have access to prevention and support services throughout the state.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI am thrilled to join the NCPG team,\u201d said Costello. \u201cNCPG has a unique position in the national conversation around problem gambling and responsible gambling, bringing all sectors together to create long-term change.
